It looks like I am going to be buying a new burner, so I would like some suggestions. I need a good, reliable drive that won't dry up my wallet.

    How about Pioneer DVR-111 ?

The problem is I haven't seen any reviews of the 112 yet--and that second link is showing out of stock. :(

If the second link were in-stock, I would tell you to buy it.

A little more background. I have dual drives. I have a Sony DVD-ROM, which will get replaced, and a Philips DVD+-RW which will stay. So if I get this DVD+-RW drive, I'll have dual DVD burners, sweet! I'm just waiting to see which one of those I should buy.

The Pioneer DVR-111 is a safe bet if you can find one.
