For some reason some of the dvd's that I burn keep pausing through out the movie, it usually starts about half way. Iam I doing something wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
What type of blank media are you using? This sounds like poor media and possibily too fast of a burn.

You are experiencing the classic symptoms od using poor quality media. Try some Verbatim.
