Hello. I own an IBM ThinkPad with an NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner. I am using the latest versions of AnyDVD & CloneDVD2. The drive doc's says that it supports DVD +/-R disks (media). After running AnyDVD (DVD-R or DVD+R), CloneDVD2 say's it cannot write to this media. It said that this is not a recordable disk. DVD-RW's or DVD+RW's work fine. What gives?? Thank You!
@ Big_Bruce, It appears that your NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner contains old out of date obsolete Firmware that does not include the MID (Manufacture ID and Media Code) for the particular blank DVD Media you are attempting to use. Updating your NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner with the newest most current up to date Firmware should correct this problem. If you have a NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner suggest visiting Liggy’s and Dee’s Web Page (http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/en/) for NEC ND-6500A DVD Burner Firmware.
