Hi, I am new to this product and have just finished my first DVD burn. The program wrote to the same drive as the original was in. I want to know if the program can read from 1 drive and burn to another on a 2 dvd burner system? If this is possible can it read and write simultaneously to make things faster?

You can do that, but it is not advisable, your risk of errors will be much greater.

What you are asking to do is called burning on the fly. But like Spanky stated, its not advisable. Stick with the single burner setup. As a matter of fact, all of my homebrew builds utilize only one drive. I have absolutely no need for multiple drives. And I only use one channel per optical/hdd. Just my two cents...
