I'm been converting the PCs from local accounts to Microsoft accounts.
They all HAD the same 6 character password.
Our Microsoft accounts themselves have long strong passwords.
Her PC will still allow her to use the 6 char to log on.
Mine is insisting on 8 with a cap - so I went to a pin,
Why the difference? Any fix? I want my 6 char password back.

Maybe your local username was the same as your Microsoft account username, and her local username was different from her Microsoft account username?

How about moving ahead and thinking of a passphrase PIN?

I have used the telephone keypad as a letter base and created a 12 digit PIN login for my login to my local account and in turn it logs me into my Microsoft account...
