I have had 2 DVD's that take forever or never come up on AnyDVD. One was Mirrors and the other Bangkok Dangerous. Maybe the DVD's are bad or maybe they have a new protection that Anydvd hasn't truly figured out. It may be a hit or miss type of deal.

Some discs take longer to scan. This has nothing to do with not figuring out the protection. Newer protections are more complex and the scanning process and its purpose are necessary to create an unprotected backup.

The latest release of AnyDVD which is v6.5.1.4 beta has no issues with Bangkok Dangerous or Mirrors.

Bad discs have always had the ability to lead to the disc simply not being fully detected because AnyDVD tries and tries to read the disc and retries errored reads a number of times before moving on. If the disc is bad... it's bad.
