I'm looking at maybe getting a Microsoft Surface RT tablet within the next few months, and was hoping someone could answer the following question:
Apart from email and web browsing, I'd be using the Surface to play MP4 videos. I have a substantial collection of MP4 files encoded at 1080p - these were converted from Blu-ray and are all over 4Gb is size. Is the Surface able to play these MP4s smoothly, or will I have to re-encode them to 720p?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I've changed my mind and opted for a Google Nexus 7 instead.
