Microsoft Games - AOM

I would like to know if anyone has had success making copies (back-ups for archival purposes only of course) of the Age of Mythology game? If so, what was the method? I tried with Clone CD original in a a CD/DVD drive writting to a Light-On SHM-165H6S DVD burner OS is XP SP2.

Incidently InCD was running at the time if this matters.

dont suppose there is an english version anywhere my german is slightly rusty :d
