Marker pens for BD-R discs specifically - Use Water-based pens OR are other CD / DVD markers okay?

I label my burned BD-R (50 GB DL mostly) with CD DVD markers (pens). I am currently using these water-based markers / pens:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/memorex-cd-dvd-permanent-marker/4482946.p?skuId=4482946
However, these Memorex pens are discontinued so the batches available are not fresh stock.

I am trying to avoid marker ink bleeding into my BD-R discs and making them unplayable.
For my BD-Rs, can I safely use other imported * 'PERMANENT' CD DVD markers by Lumo Staedler or Edding e.g. that are not water-based?

* Stores here in the US stopped carrying these 'CD / DVD' markers (probably due to lack of demand).
Not even sure what makes the CD / DVD markers different from other markers

Me too. Inkjet printable ones all the way. Looks 1000x better than ink pen lol
