1. Ensure your using standard or Microsoft bustmaster drivers. Follow these instructions: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=1455402&postcount=3

You don't need to be scared. Just do it. (Olli is the original author of Clonedvd, by the way).

I got dvd43llh

"It belongs to the software DVD For Free by RIF"

2. Uninstall dvd43 or DVD For Free. It's completely and utterly useless. Reboot. Ensure dvd43llh no longer appears in your filters.

controllers remember

remember doing this before. I do not have the controllers he said to click on or I don't recognize them as the names are different. I have 2 primary and the other 2 are
IntelR82801fb Ultra ATA Storage controllers 2651
IntelR 82801fb/fbm Ultra ATA Storage controllers 266f
My problem is none of the names to fit the ones in the directions.
I didn't not order any clean-up soft ware like it step 3 like you suggested.

O.k., forget your controllers.

Uninstall dvd43 or dvd for free by RIF. Then reboot. Ensure dvd43llh (dvd for free installed that filter, so you need to uninstall the program so that the filter will be uninstalled for you) no longer appears in your filters.

I'm doing a search for it. My friend deleted files like that before and I have downloaded 43 since.

I found a copy of it on my hard drive and in my backup drive. Thanks for telling me.

If you own Anydvd, dvd43 is utterly useless. dvd43 can't handle anything other than basic CSS decryption. And dvd43 has the added bonus of causing issues and conflicts with Anydvd. So if you want Anydvd to work properly you should uninstall dvd43. Then reboot. Ensure dvd43llh (dvd for free/dvd43 installed that filter, so you need to uninstall the program so that the filter will be uninstalled for you) no longer appears in your filters.

what next

I know what to do for the controllers, I just need to know which ones to right click on. I know I don't do the primary ones but the other 2 say they are storage and have no secondary in their names. Are these the ones I right click on to get the right controllers?

If I had a screenshot, I could probably tell easier.

Chances are dvd43 was the problem anyway.

controllers

These are the 2 that weren't primary. They and the ones below were the only ones listed.
IntelR82801fb Ultra ATA Storage controllers 2651
IntelR 82801fb/fbm Ultra ATA Storage controllers 266f

I'm going to try reinstalling my favorite program. If you don't hear back, you will know it was successful.
Even if it isn't, I appreciate your help more than I can say.

Those are your hard drive controllers. I would leave them alone.

1. Ensure dvd43llh (dvd for free/dvd43 installed that filter, so you need to uninstall the program so that the filter will be uninstalled for you) no longer appears in your filters.

2. a) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
b) Download Anydvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD6165.exe
c) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
d) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
e) Reinstall
f) Reboot
g) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
h) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs

I give up

The dvd writer and reader do not even show up on my computer now. I have done nothing except try to install Any DVD. Trouble shooting leads me to a message that the drivers cannot be installed because a driver (or maybe file)
is corrupted. For some unknown reason, I only have an installation disc for the reader but not the writer. This is way beyond me and I'm going to have to get my friend in here to see if he can help.
Thanks for all your help.

If you don't want to follow my instructions or troubleshoot anymore, that's fine. But as I said before several times you should ensure dvd43llh no longer appears in your filters after uninstalling dvd43.

Hopefully your friend can get things sorted for you.

Well, I didn't have dvd3 installed. I found that file you told me about and deleted it.
When doing a search now, nothing comes up.
I know what happened with the dvd writer and reading. I uninstalled them instead of looking for updated drivers. I don't know why but I only have an installation disc for my plextor writer and not my sony reader so I don't know how to go about finding a driver to at least get my dvds working.
By the way, I tried reinstalling AnyDVD and it didn't work. Probably had problems finding my dvd writer and reader like I did. I'm just very tired right now and have to take a break from this. I think that solution is to buy a new computer - as if I had the money. Only kidding, of course. I did start a trouble shooting thing but was told to insert installation discs. Of course, I could only do that for one of them.

Use filter driver load order. Select your burner. Click "clipboard". Paste the contents into your next post.

If you manually deleted the file I was talking about then that's a problem. I never said to manually delete that file.

The file is gone, but your filters still likely list dvd43llh in your registry. So now your filters are messed up. That dvd43llh entry is likely still in your filters. It needs to be removed.

I think I found the installation disc. I do have one called Sonic Solutions. Thought it would have Sony on it, not sonic solutions. Of course, that doesn't solve the problem of the getting the dvd43 dll file off. I just hope that program to clean the registry works. I've had some bad luck with similar programs.

You need to uninstall DVD43. You don't need it with AnyDVD and they both try to access the drive. AnyDVD is much better.
