I recently purchased clonedvd2 to add to my anydvd. when i was using the trial version of clonedvd everything was fine but after i purchased and got the latest update i have not been able to backup my movies. My usual process is start anydvd, place original dvd in, wait until fox turns back to red, open clonedvd2, hit clonedvd, browse for the title, and follow the directions, as soon as i hit next on audio and subtitles screen and advance to output method screen my whole comp locks up and i have to do a hard boot. This was not happening until i purchased the full version. here is my info. it is working fine now. it appears to have just been the ide driver. but i would still like to know if i need to clean up my filters. Thanks for your help webslinger!
If things are fine now, just leave those alone. And no, you can't just delete them, because if you do, the associated programs that installed those entries will no longer function. If you want to remove filters, always uninstall the program that stuck that entry in your filters to begin with. cdrbsdrv - from BHA/Ricoh as it was installed with the Ricoh EncryptEase format/engine and B's Recorder GOLD7 pxhelp20 - Part of Sonic Burning engine, it's made by prassi/veritas and licensed to Sonic. Comes with Winamp, 1click DivxToDVD and (older versoins of) Digion Audio. CDR4_XP - Used by Roxio Easy Media Creator, WinOnCD 6, DragtoDisc and DirectCD. Directcd is packet writing software. If you have that program on your system, uninstall it. Packet writing software tends to cause problems with other burning applications, and it's generally not the most stable/secure method of burning files. If you want that type of drag-and-drop functionality, I recommend using dvd-ram instead. I've never had problems with pxhelp20, by the way, so that entry is fine. Anyway, if things are working for you, you may as well leave things be (unless you happen to have directcd installed).
