P.S. The scanner's notepad functionality is currently broken. I don't know why. It can crash some people's scanner app and for others it just opens an empty notepad window. Microsoft has changed....something....somewhere.

Fixes a notepad bug (thanks, MS...I hate the solution but don't have any other way of doing it now) and fixes a crash on prepare forum button (another MS problem with the latest updates). Hopefully this fixes all the issues.

Understood but just be aware it does NOT work the same as it did before. It'll LOOK the same functionality wise, but, I had no choice but to create a tmp file in the windows temp directory and load that with notepad. It's a literal .tmp file so it should get cleaned up with Windows' cleanup policy over time but I am annoyed I had to write it to a file to display it.

From a programming perspective, I hear ya, I'd feel the same way.

But strictly from a user perspective, I'll gladly give up a bit of temp space to keep using that functionality - if that's what it takes. LOL!

I agree, hence the fix. Just irritates me that something that used to work fine now no longer works at all. But the workaround isn't horrible.

Seems to be a pattern here:

Inception, Harry Potter, and Wonder Woman titles appear to take the longest to decrypt.

Of the top 25 in terms of time on the List, they account for 11 titles.

Oh, Charlie Brown's too 'cause they account for another 3.


They range from the shortest in that top 25 group, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at 75 days currently listed - to nearly the longest, a Wonder Woman at 575 days.

There is one title on longer than that Wonder Woman and that's Knives Out at 646 days. :confused:

PLEASE READ

Sorry for another update but this is one I want everyone to update to. In a few days I will be making this the new minimum version of the scanner. It was time to clean up some very old code that's been hanging around and to make it easier for people to toggle the Logging, Notepad, and Popup Killer functions. So on that note:

When you first open 1.0.7.0 you'll see some labels at the bottom:

Popup Notepad LOGGING

Depending on what you've chosen in the past, Notepad and/or LOGGING may have a border around it and look "selected". That means those options are enabled. To enable/disable each option, just click on it. It will toggle the option on or off depending on your preference.

NOTE: For the popup killer, it will be disabled for everyone the first time you load 1.0.7.0. Click it to enable it, and it will remember your selection going forward.

The keyboard shortcuts no longer work for those functions. Other than this, there's no new functionality but with the code cleanup, I do want to make this the minimum version soon. Probably in the next day or so.
