CloneDVD copies the dvd fine but when It come to writing I can leave it run for an hour and nothing is happening. Sometimes the computer will freeze. I uninstalled and reinstalled Anydvd, CloneDVD and the dvd recorder a LG GSA-H55N. I just can’t get it to write to the media. I’m using quality +/- disks. It pickup my targeted dvd burner during installation.

What can I check for the fix?

Anydvd 6.4.2.2 and Clonedvd 2.9.1.7

Anydvd is running.

There is no error message. Problem is the burner wont burn to the dvd.

Firmware version burner is up to date.

Not sure how to “Remove packet writing software from your system, including

Roxio's Directcd, Nero's Incd, Roxio/Sonic's DragtoDisc, Drive Letter Access, CyberLink InstantBurn, NTI's Filecd, etc.”

Not sure who burning application is running I thought Anydvd was it. State the specific version(s) of the burning application(s) you are using (and stating "latest versions" isn't sufficient information; use full version numbers), and b)the specific version(s) of whatever other burning application(s) you have installed on your system.

What blank media are you using? Memorex I have both +/- 16x,4.7gb, 120 min

At what speed are you burning your blank media? The default Max.

Click the red fox icon in your system tray. Select "status" on the left hand side of your screen.

Memorex I have both +/- 16x,4.7gb, 120 min

Junk. If you use junk, then you should expect problems.

Bad quality blank media can vary in results from disc to disc, even within the same spindle. With good blank media you can play "find the bad blank" game. With inferior quality blank media you get to play "find the blank that works" game. And even when inferior blank media does work, you can play the "will my backups still play after 6 months (or even after two years)" game.

Use good quality blank media (Taiyo Yuden Premium, Verbatim, Maxell Plus, Maxell Broadcast Quality). Avoid Ritek, Memorex, Regular Maxell blank media that you can find in most stores that are not made in Japan, Fuji, TDK from Costco, and Princo. Also, on average, it's wise to avoid blank media that's made in China or Hong Kong.

If you're using double layer blank media, use Verbatim +R DL (preferably made in Singapore) or MAM-A 8x +R DL.

3. Click this

Do what it says to do

4.
The default Max.

Don't

Burn at 8x or 12x
