lg ggc-h20l 1.03 not recognising some bds

Hi im having an issue with my lg ggc-h20l 1.03 not seeing some bluray discs. Only a few of my discs have this issue but its a certain few. Now i know its an older bd drive.. but should this be expected?? I dont think theres a new firmware but i could be wrong.. please help! Thank you
 
If it's only seeing some and not others, there's your answer, drive is dying. Replace it.

The only other option would be defective discs but thats a low possibility especially if new releases
