i bought the US version of John Wick on Bluray at Best Buy. Using the newest anydvd hd beta the full rip completes but playback on a Popcorn Hour A200 results in a black screen after the Atmos demo video just after starting the movie. What can I do to fix this?

Here is the log

Seems like you managed to find a year old version that slipped through the support cracks! Nicely done :) Am i correct in assuming that the you never progress past the black screen, and that there is no copyright message or if there is it stays on it? The movie itself never starts?

If so, sounds like screenpass and the OPD will need an update to support your version, however seeing as it's weekend it may take a few days. In the mean time if you want, you could try re-ripping with speedmenu's enabled. It'll be a very basic menu listing ALL available playlists. With some luck you can find out manually which one is correct (it'll take a lot of viewing) or you can wait for OPD support. When that is done, all you'll need to do is re-insert the ORIGINAL DISC for it to hopefully properly get decrypted and the correct playlist selected.

Thanks for the help. I have no issue waiting. In the bluray menu I select play. From there a Dolby atmos logo/demo plays and from there it sits at a black screen. You are correct, the movie does not ever play and I don't believe any copyright screen ever shows

AFAIK the Popcarn A200 cannot play Blu-ray menus, so please elaborate. Which Blu-ray menu are you talking about? How *exactly* do you play back?

EDIT:
Can you play with a "real" (licensed) player on your PC, like PowerDVD?
If the Popcorn A200 supports simple menus, you can try AnyDVD speedmenu (not keeping the original menu).

Actually the a200 does unofficially support bluray full menus. If it makes you fell better though I get the same results on my C200 which is a licensed player officially.

Thanks, the Screen Pass protection should be removed now.

I purchased a Dune HD Solo 4k. when playing this movie the full menus don't load which just could be the player's custom software that allows for full bluray menu playback not working for this title. I try with BDLite and the only playlist that is long enough is 202 but when playing it back, the audio and video randomly cut out. on AVS forums people are able to play it back fine and I am wondering if there is more tweaking needed for the disc version that I have. I also included a picture of a post where someone fixed Movies with struggling menu playback and I was curious if anyone knew why that was working.

Can you play the rip in powerDVD with audio working as it should? If so, it's not an anydvd issue

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the PowerDvd trial and it works fine. Must not be an Anydvd issue as you said

the dune likely doesn't properly support HD audio. Try downscaling to standard 5.1

Is set to pass through and my avr can do atmos. This movie and Fired Up! Are the only two that I have noticed that won't even play right after a fresh rip using simple menus and full navigation (menus don't load right)Both the audio and video kinda cut out and I have eliminated network issues
