For about the past 2 mos. I have been experiencing a marked increase in typical movie back-ups - whether they are new films chalked full of CG's, run for 3 hours total or are small, vintage B&W films that have, at most, one small extra feature that consists of a list of actor's filmographies and maybe a stills section.
Regardless of the film, the first phase of the film (in AnyDVD2) takes at least 40-60 minutes just to process the files - once this phase is complete, and it gets to the "Creating of the ISO/IDU File" -this takes another 20-40+ minutes. :bang:
Once actually backing up the film, this can take typically, on average, anywhere from 20 to 75 minutes.
I have done nothing different - using same everything.
1. Is this the correct forum to post this question? Not sure if it is an Any or Clone issue....
2. I noticed that the speed in my CloneDVD2 previously was always listed (defaulted to this listing - I never set it at this speed) "maximum" - yesterday, though, I noticed that it was set at 8X. I didn't change it even today after I upgraded my version of CloneDVD2 (I had the pervious version until upgrade this morning).
3. I changed this setting to "maximum" a short while ago - in between making my backup file for a particular movie that I bought this afternoon and when I went to create / burn my back-up disc. This change from 8X speed when creating the back-up files and to "maximum" speed when burning the back-up disc did not speed up the process since this older, 1970 film with no extras and approximately 1 hour and :34 minutes is taking about 1.25 hours to burn.
I do know that I have been having issues with a site or two that uses -> heavily relies on flash and MS Silverlight based animation productions that started right around the same time, too.
Could you tell me where this type of question should be posted - also show me how to move the original posting - and help me out with this speed issue that has recently appeared.
