Insurgent.....

I can't even get a ripped ISO to play. I've turned off all the options from remove blu-ray region code and annoying user operations etc. The video just freezes black right after the little Dolby demo and graphics:bang:

Those new videos I posted about this protection were recorded using this movie. Had to black out the name to keep me out of trouble with YouTube with the copywite license rules over there. The next step is finding the mpls in non commercial players. Now that would raise some eyebrows!

Ripped with 7.6.4.0 and Handbrake is still scanning after 5 hours at only 60%. Attached is a log for the US Retail disc. Thanks!

This could be an unseen variant of the protection, there's a lot of playlists but the status window doesn't indicate the proper one. What region/country is this? Barcode number?

Ch3vr0n is correct. This disc will have to be updated in the OPD. Playlist 407 should be correct (like the other US retail discs)

Thanks guys! Just to be clear the UPC= 031398224068 - 80

Should be ok now, thanks.

My issue isn't finding the correct mpls but when I do, ripbot264 won't give me any audio that is in English with more than 2.0 channels... Anyone have some insight on this?

If you use the correct playlist anydvd mentions, then it's a ripbot issue and you're looking in the wrong forum. This is the anydvd HD forum, not the ripbot forum.

Insurgent 3D blu-ray from Best Buy in Virginia USA. The cutesy sound test plays then players go black and stuck at 23 of 24 seconds and never recover, I just have to close out. I've tried default and about every other option in ANYDVD both the prior and current 7.6.4 versions. On a server and a separate PC with different chipsets.

@ twinpeaks, RE: players go black and stuck at 23 of 24 seconds and never recover.
When this happens on a "software" player just click NEXT or do CNTRL+T to go to the next title and the disk will keep playing. It is just something odd in the java that breaks the playlist order on some older software players. This will not happen when you take the same files and play them on a "real" blue-ray player.

I'm not sure about ripbot264, but Handbrake choked with audio alignment errors trying to process the primary Dolby Atmos TrueHD audio track in Insurgent. I ended up using CloneBD to copy/extract the movie and made sure 'downconvert HD audio to AC3' was selected in the audio section and then Handbrake was able to encode the extracted movie.

Disc Summary (So Far)

Since this is officially released and quite a few users now have it, I thought I'd do another round up of all the currently known discs/playlists to maybe help users and Slysoft (and to try and stop the thread getting too messy/out of control)

I think Slysoft should have enough info now to fix the issue. I'd recommend only to post a logfile, if you think your disc might be different to the ones listed above so this thread can be kept clean and easier to follow :) Slysoft will most likely ask for more information if needed.

If you can 100% confirm a playlist, please include a Logfile so it can be identified in the OPD.
Warning - Procmon seems to be having issues with revealing the playlist on this title and has given false reports.

It's looking like my disk may be using the 407.mpls as well, however when I run ProcMon it says it's either 421 OR 003 which the latter doesn't even show up in Ripbot when I try to select the .mpls. Why isn't my ProcMon showing the correct .mpls? I had anydvd off when checking for it.

You shouldn't need to use Procmon. Just let AnyDVD scan the disc and it should tell you the correct playlist in the status window.
If it doesn't, then post a logfile and it will get fixed/updated by a developer.

Just asking, but why are you guys still using Ripbot or Handbrake? Try BD-Rebuilder, it will save you a lot of grief .

As ddjmagic mentioned, if anydvdhd displays a playlist in the status window, that's probably the correct one, otherwise post a logfile :).

PS: There is a newer version of the screenpass protection that obscures the correct playlist when using the 'process monitor' method. Gerar1 did a youtube video on how to find the correct playlist with one of those. But most of those versions are already solved with the latest AnyDVDHD.

If you want seamless compatibility across all devices and you know the correct playlist order, it's easier just to rip a "movie only" single stream file version into a BDMV compatible format with only one audio track.

No to revisit an old subject. Visit this thread to teach you how to get past dolby atmos true-hd track with third party software. This might help you understand why certain third party programs crash or return errors when trying to deal with dolby atmos sound track disks.

I have this UPC too. AnyDVD HD 7.6.8.0 does not reveal the correct playlist for this disc.

Unknown original purchase point (purchased used), but likely a USA release.
Region A Insurgent Blu-Ray + Digital HD combo pack.
UPC 0-31398-22406-8-80
Uses cache file to obscure playlist.
Proper playlist is 407 based on following gereral1's video tutorial titled "Screen pass protection revealing the disk mpls file using the cashe file."

Having similar problems with the Region-A Blu-Ray3D+Blu-Ray+DVD+DigitalHD release, UPC 31398-22544-7.

The 3D version seems to be ok, but the 'normal' disc has a screwed-up playlist... (Should be 407?)

Also, the original disc starts by going to the menu, whereas the anydvd'd one runs the movie directly on startup???
