I'm using CloneCD Version 5.3.1.0
My operating system is Win XP Pro Version 2002 with Service pack 2
ProtectionID returns for Autorun.exe: Armadilo unknown version
ProtectionID returns for RosettaStone.exe: Safedisc 4.60.006 protection level standard
The CD is RosettaStone version 2.1.5.1Asms
My cd drive is Sony DVD RW DRU-810A with firmware 1.0f
My processor is Intel Pentium III, 797MHz, 512 MB RAM
I am using Windows Live OneCare with the firewall disabled during the cloning.
I burned at max speed.
I tried cloning as data cd; and then tried as protected game cd.
It said it successfully created the cd.
I have the CloneCD Tray V5.3 in the lower right of the display.
But when I tried to run the cloned cd, I got "Cannot locate the CD-ROM. Please eject and re-insert the CD-ROM, select OK and restart application."
I'd like to back up my software, but this program does not seem to be working. What am I doing wrong?

I burned at max speed.

Never do this.

Also use these cd-rs only:
Maxell Pro CD-Rs (these are Taiyo Yudens with a protective coating)
Verbatim DatalifePlus CD-Rs
Taiyo Yuden

then tried as protected game cd.

That is what you should use.

In Clonecdtray, you need to select "hide cdr media".

Burned at 16x speed - same results

>Also use these cd-rs only:

I cannot find these locally, will need to wait till I go to the city.

I've now made 3 discs this way, one as data cd

>In Clonecdtray, you need to select "hide cdr media".
THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED TO DO!!!!! I now have 3 backup discs that work (all but one of my previous tries). All in that "nasty" Memorex generic CD's. 2 at max burn speed. Only the data CD didn't work.

You just sold a copy of cloneCD. If you don't work for Slysoft, I hope you at least get a commission, you deserve it. Thanks!!!

Hi,

I don't work for Slysoft, and I don't get commission. By the way, if you have Safedisc and Securom protected discs--and you would prefer not to have the original discs in your computer, you may want to take a closer look at Game Jackal.

Take care,
