It doesn't seem that the virtual clone drive detects this folder, is there a way to mount it?

You are a bit confused. Only disk images can be mounted with a virtual drive. You cannot "mount" any folders or files directly to a virtual drive such as VCD.
 
but you can work arround that if you create an iso from it with UDF 2.50

ImgBurn has an option to create a tiny miniso file of a BDMV folder.
Unfortunately Virtual CloneDrive can't use those files (afaik).
