How can I convert M4V to Mpeg4?

I have an Iphone and want to convert the DVD from teh format it copied to (M4V) which iTunes can't recognize, to Mpeg4 which iTunes likes.

And why did CloneDVD Mobile convert it to M4V in the first place?
 
Just raname the extension to MP4 - it will play just fine. IIRC all you have to do is open the devices.ini file and change the extension from MV4 to MP4 (FileType=mp4). to create them by default.
 
When you upgrade (if thats possible) iTunes it will require the files to be m4v.
 
I think I have the latest version of iTunes. So all I need to do is drag my movie into iTunes? That didn't seem to work last time.
