Total size: 4718592 sectors (9216 MBytes)
Video Blu-Ray label: 45519291_HAPPILY_NEVER_AFTER

How about using a Blu-ray drive, not Nero Imagedrive?

Lionsgate is responsible for Protect dvd-video protection on dvds in germany. Perhaps another crappy copyprotection for bluray now in US:confused: ? Don't know.

only have a ps3

but again, I have a 99% success rate so far...I have used the following methods:

ps3 (udf2.5) copy all files bring to pc use "published" key, all working.

ps3 iso rip, bring to pc, 99% success on all titles without a published key (like CRANK or Enemy of the State US)...only titles that have not worked so far is Happily Never After and the Black Crowes bluray, so I have to conclude it has nothing to do with ripping direct from the bluray...but this is why I posted...would like to know 100%.

James,

Peer in his above post asked what date it was released. It's a new release. I am going to buy the title today and let you know the result. thanks.

I really hope this is finally one of the discs with the new AACS protection, but somehow I doubt it...

it would seem to me, if there were new protections, wouldn't it NOT play on my early version ps3? some kind of update would be required to play it? (which wasn't the case)

No, as the devicekeys of the PS3 were never compromised (or if they were, nobody was foolish enough to post them) and therefore there is no need to revoke them.

Save your money. It is an AACS v1 disc.

no, just the way Nero Imagedrive reports it (the same for all mounted bluray .isos), it rips to the proper size....
Can you try to mount it with Virtual CloneDrive instead?

EDIT:
Can you please try AnyDVD 6.1.4.2?

Media is AACS protected!

basically the same message and performance as before

I am able to "dissect" the bluray .iso using isobuster, all looks perfect filewise, just a key issue?

Here's the message I get for "Hoosiers" US, which decrypted and plays fine

Summary for drive J: (AnyDVD 6.1.4.2)
SCSI DVD-ROM 1.0
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a DVD.

Total size: 4718592 sectors (9216 MBytes)
Video Blu-Ray label: 12932200_HOOSIERS
Media is AACS protected!
Removed AACS copy protection!

Thanks. Keep the image, next AnyDVD version will likely decrypt it.

very nice, hopefully the black crowes (which is weird as it is an older disc) also

again, anydvd reported the volume name correctly, same error message

I had NO ISSUE WHATSOEVER with ripping this movie. I'm sure whatever issue(s) you may be having are on your end. This ripped as any other movie would (read, successful). Good luck.
