GameJackal 2.9.18.590 released

And onto the second item:

Oblivion Dvd (profile was sucessful and the game runs okay from GJ just refuses to deactivate).

This is after I selected deactivate 5 mins after exiting the game:

9 minutes is not out of the ordinary for a DVD (there is many... many sectors to scan). What i need to know is if you are still getting the error when the game starts??

Oh yes, NWN2 still crashes for me, though I don't get a blue screen.

I can only suggest that the blue screen issue may be caused by chipset, driver, or SATA CD/DVD drives and how these things interact with Vista.

My motherboard is an Asus M2R32-MVP, which uses an AMD 580X/ATI Xpress 3200 based board(Socket AM2 processor). My CD/DVD drive is a normal EIDE interface drive. Tracking the chipsets for those affected may help isolate the source of the problem.

You need to find out which process is the game. Then using the advanced options of the Oblivion profile, add the process to the "Profile running process" field.

Most all of my games don't deactivate, but only since upgrading to Vista and the new GameJackal.

With Oblivion the process that runs when the game runs is "Oblivion.exe" so I added that in where you said and started the game, quit the game and even now as I am typing this out the GJ icon is still flashing with Oblivion activated.

Okay, I just manually deactivated GJ Oblivion.

Which quite obviously says it didn't find Oblivion.exe as a process!!!!

So i redid it without the .exe ( just "Oblivion" ) and it seems to have worked.

So I shall go do that for all games not deactivating! :) Shame I have to do this manually for everything though. Any idea why it's not doing it by itself??

Many thanks. Sam.

(Now just the NWN2 problem to solve....! hehe)

Hmmm... thats is pretty odd.
Do you have any virus and/or spyware scanners installed?

I run Windows Defender of course, I also have Avast! running and I use X-Cleaner to regularly check for Spyware/Trojans (between defender and x-cleaner they've picked up all nasties before they infect the system)
