This is a feature request, I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but here it goes.
I have some widescreen movies on DVD that have been mastered as a 4:3 ratio, maintaining the black bars on top and bottom of the image. To be clear this is a widescreen movie where the black bars on top and bottom are actually part of the DVD frames.
I would like to see an option where the black bars can be trimmed off during encoding (in my case to iPod). A very similar but opposite option is available when I have a true widescreen DVD to be converted to full screen, or zoomed-in.
