Trying to understand the reasons why clonebd will have higher frame rates if i first use anydvd to convert a bluray to an iso folder?

Whether you rip to ISO or folder makes ZERO impact on CloneBD's frame rate. What DOES matter however is where the source is. An optical drive has a much lower transfer speed than a hard drive has. If you first rip to HDD first, rather than processing straight from the disc, CloneBD can work at a much higher speed. This because the HDD can feed data to the transcoder a lot faster than an optical drive can. That and well, you won't have a constantly spinning disc inside your optical drive bay. Constant spinning: potential shatter risk (albeit low one), wear and tear and on the disc / drive, but more importantly spinning causes heat and heat is something you don't want in a PC in general.
