Hi,

Ive been searching around to a solution to an issue I have where i cant seem to use Wasapi to play PCM audio tracks (with LAV audio decoding). Each time i do, no matter the setting it says the format is not supported by the hardware / driver.

Im using it with MPC-HC and a GeForce 9800m GTS via HDMI from my laptop to a Denon AVR 1912 and on to the HDTV. Im also using Vista.

Could it be that this card/HDMI version is too old? If i set the audio renderer to "System (default)" rather than reclock the audio works and Reclock also works for DD/DTS bitstreaming, but for PCM tracks it does not seem to work. I have "24 bit padded to 32 bit" set as well as the output.

Any ideas / thoughts why Reclock cannot process PCM for me?

Thanks!

Ideas: Too many channels of audio, bit depth or sampling rate not supported.

weird thing is where i use the Vista default audio renderer, it can pass 7.1 192kHz 24 bit sounds...but Wasapi cant?
