After my first run through Bioshock, my game started having severe sound problems. I tryed every fix I could find on the Bioshock forums, with no luck.
I then remembered that game jackal limited itself and games to just one cpu at a time, Bioshock can and will use more.
If you're having stuttering or sound loss, try setting the game (in your game jackal profile) to use more.
this solved all of my problems, and I hope that it might help others.
Edit: here are my system specks
Intel Q6600
evga 680i sli main board
nvidia 8800 gtx
2gb ddr2 pc6400
win. XP pro sp2
Audigy2 zs plat.
