True. But if the goal is an unprotected iso for the Oppo in the end, this is IMHO more time consuming.
Insert original disc, test, alter settings, region code, whatnot, test, adjust subtitle position, test, all good, rip, done.
 
Yes that's true. Or make one protected iso for testing.

... although ripping from iso to iso should be pretty fast. Unless it is the same hardisk. Seek, seek...
