The intent to start a thread that just lists all the DVD titles and format that error out with the ffmpeg.exe.

Experience shows that such a thread can "balloon" with more info than just a heads up of what specific titles have issues.

Check that you have the latest CloneDVD mobile or beta installed. See the first few threads in this Forum for that information.

Best is to open a "contact" ticket for SlySoft Support as such things are difficult to get fixed in a user Forum.

Ref to Cars2

Any suggestions on a fix for this error?? I'm trying to put some movies on my kids' iPod touch, and this is one of their favorite ones.

couple more

I am a new member, and I love the Slysoft products...
a user for years, but just joined this messageboard.

and would like to add a couple to the list..

Dreamkeeper - gets ffmpeg error
The Tree of Life - gets ffmpeg error

The Way Back - just hangs and does not do anything..has to be cancelled

do I do anything?

thanks...

info info info

You won't get an ounce of help that way.

OK, can you try the beta?

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupCloneDVDmobile1802.exe

I think one or more of your DVDs are fixed at that level now.

What file type were you trying to create?

And then maybe attach the log text content here if possible.

Right click the LOG content panel, "save as..." and save as a txt file. Include the trans-coder details.

You want help, then you've got to include more info.

Cool. OK, moving forward

Let's try "one pass" when you do DIVX. There is a problem in this area.

And a screen shot of when the hang occurs for the "Way Back" would be most helpful.

a. Press and hold ALT. Press the PRINT / PrntSrn key on your keyboard
- on some laptops you may need to press "Fn" + "Print" keys.
b. Release the keys and open start > all programs > accessories > Paint (not Word or anything else)
c. Click "edit" and "paste". This will pull the image into the frame.
d. In the file dialog select "JPG" as the file type, click "file", "save as" and give the file the name "error".
e. Please attach that image to your reply using the paper-clip function.

Dreamkeeper / The Way Back

I tried DreamKeeper with 1 pass - error immediately
2 passes - error when start 2nd pass
3 passes - error when starts 3rd pass

I only attached the errors with 1 pass attempt...
This is just for watching on a PC, so I could do something beside DIVX

attached is the jpg for The Way Back.
I tried it with 2 passes and it hangs on the start of the 2nd pass..
or immediately if only 1 pass.

if you want me to do anything else.. just let me know.

hm... neeed more info

The crash is probably a tick worse than the error in the two logs you sent.
Something very wrong is going on and it may be something on your machine causing it. We need more info in any event.
The error you report is usually only seen after enabling a development function in the engine and should never appear in normal operation.

Please attach the AnyDVD log zips for these DVDs to this thread here.
a) Ensure Anydvd is running.
b) Put that original disc in your optical drive/reader. Wait for Anydvd to scan the disc.
c) Right click the little red fox icon in the lower right system tray and select "Create Logfile"
e) Wait for Anydvd to create a log file, a pop-up screen will appear.
Take note of the location where Anydvd created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "ok".
g) Go to your My Documents folder and there you will see a zip file called
"Anydvd_Info_<DVD TITLE>.zip" (or something similar)

Attach that ZIP file to your reply using the paper-clip.

I also want to know if this is happening on ALL DVDs you try or just these last two.

Then we'll know more.

OK, and moving forward...

Let's do this:

Set the region of your DVD drive to non-0
Right mouse the system tray AnyDVD fox icon and click "exit".

Remove the DVD from the drive.

YOU MUST EXIT ANYDVD OR YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE DRIVE REGION

1. Click start. Right click on "My computer"--->select "properties" (in Vista, start > right click "Computer" ---> select "Properties")
2. Click on the 'Hardware' tab--->click the 'device manager' button (in Vista, open "Device Manager").
3. Open the dvd/cdrom branch---> right click on your optical drive
4. Click "properties".
5. You should have a region tab at the top there. Click that and from there you can select a region.
6. Select the region that matches YOUR COUNTRY. Close those panels now.
7. Start Anydvd, insert the DVD and left click the system tray AnyDVD fox and see that the drive status shown is NOT "0".

Do NOT proceed until the status panel for AnyDVD shows a number for your drive region and no longer "0".

And then....

http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6913.exe

let's get that installed.

If this fails let me know.

sorry Frank,

I am getting the same thing on both DVD's.
I downloaded the beta version of Anydvd.
I rebooted also.. just in case.. and no change.

more info...

sorry Frank,

I am getting the same thing on both DVD's.
I downloaded the beta version of Anydvd.
I rebooted also.. just in case.. and no change.

I'm going to assume you have not altered the "devices.ini" file.

I'd like you to try some other generic format besides DIVX/AVI.
Please process once using the MP4/AVC profile.
Then I'd like you to give me the EBAN numbers off those two DVDs and/or the Amazon.com URL so we can order them.

This error normally occurs if a codec is missing or is not supported and that is most unusual for this environment.

OK, fine.

Thanks for the info and patience.

There is indeed something weird here.
We'll order these and I'll let you know as soon as we have this solved.

thank you Frank..

I sure hope it doesn't come back that I made an error...

Doubtful it's a user issue

thank you Frank..

I sure hope it doesn't come back that I made an error...

Not to worry. If all other DVDs work then it is something on these two that is forcing the engine into nirvana.
We will order these two DVDs and then we'll know more.

One thing you can look at for us: In your Explorer "computer", open c:/programs/slysoft/clonedvd mobile/APPS.
Right click the exe "ffmpeg" and open "properties".
Open the tab "digital signature" and in "signature list" tell me the name of the signature and the date you see there..
Thanks
