Feature Request: Processing Queue

Hi

I'd like to make the following feature request:

Please implement a background worker with a processing queue such that

- we can configure the job parameters in the usual way and finally add it to the processing queue
- walk away while the background worker sequentially processes the jobs on the queue

I've found some similar requests in the forum but no definitive answer yet.
