Hi,

I have tried the following with v7.5.1.0 and the newest beta v7.5.1.1.

I am having a recurrence of an error when trying to rip some new DVDs that I got previously:-

The error is the same as before in that the process fails quite soon after starting with the same message:-

Error reading from drive E:
Sectors 192-223

This is happening with 4 DVDs:-

Tarzan

Her
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ITO0NIS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Raid 2

Divergent
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IALP0D8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s07?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have tried to create a log file for all four, but have succeeded with only one of them - the others have failed with no error message (a partial ziplog is created and the AnyDVD application just ends itself).

Whereas before I had the option to rip to file or use CloneDVD, both these options now fail instantly with the following error message:-

DVDManager 0 Common 4 0 1

Can anyone shed any light? I think I have put all the required info above, but let me know if anything is missing and I'll add it asap.

Cheers

You did, thanks a lot!

1.) Make sure you are using default settings, e.g. "copy protection based on ..." seems to be turned off.

2.) Regarding Tarzan, it looks like the file /VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.IFO is missing on the disc. Can you see it, if you browse the VIDEO_TS directory in Windows explorer?

Hi James,

I enabled those two options that weren't set (not sure why they weren't set, I don't really understand them enough to remove them :) and re-ran the rip to iso for the raid 2 and tarzan and both failed at the same point with that sectors reading error.

I then tried the rip to files with the three DVDs and they all worked!

I have attached the logs for all three now that they worked. The Tarzan file you mentioned (/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_0.IFO) is on the DVD, hopefully now that the log worked properly it is present.

Apologies for it being so simple, I'm not sure why those options weren't on :)

Out of interest, if I am ripping to files does it make any difference in the results if I use AnyDVD or CloneDVD?

Cheers
Dan
