I've moved this post to its own thread. This particular issue is something with the disc itself. Try cleaning it with a microfiber and trying to read it again.

...wash it with liquid soap and warm water before.

These LOTR and Hobbit discs are SOBs regarding readability....
 
Thanks, I will give that a try. Ordered some microfiber cloths. I was able to rip the other 2 discs.
