After using AnyDVD to copy video files to my hard drive I get the following message
'Error adjusting the IFO file. It does not match with the VOB file'
The process then aborts and i can't proceed
This happens more and more with films I am backing up.I don't get it with 'movie 'only mode- only full disc.
I use DVD 2one to compress the films.I get the same problem with DVD shrink copying from hard drive image- but it has worked OK with copying direct from the DVD.The problem then is its soooo slow.
Any solutions to this? I assume the problem is in the compression software rather than AnyDVD itself as the original hard drive image works fine on my PC before I try to compress it
Does Clone DVD address this issue is any one aware?
Thanks for any ideas

Thanks webslinger
Either by a). copying DVD using anyDVD and DVD decrypter (I know DVD decrypter is superfluous with AnyDVD running but I always used it before I subscribed to AnyDVD and it sets up the source/target directories automatically)
or
Copying and pasting VIDEO_TS folder straight from DVD disc to hard drive .

Then I try to compress the 'image';exactly the same error message either way.
DVD shrink won't work from an 'image' either...only from disc..and even then with a different error message at the end(But the film still plays)
My set up is;
AnyDVD 6.1.3.3
Windows XP home
Athlon +3800 dual core

OK thanks for all that advice webslinger....to save any more messing around I just downloaded CloneDVD and it backed up Casino Royale first time ...full disc....effortlessly.
Obviously the 'freeware' just doesn't cut it any more...unless you're backing up old movies....

Anydvd and Clonedvd will back up all the Sony bad sector nonsense releases, yes.

There are other options if you want to get the freeware stuff working. Feel free to ask in the Third Party App forum.

Just a quick note. AnyDVD Ripper should help with the Sony junk and make DVD Shrink able to handle the files w/o any errors. In a case where it doesn't you may wish to use FixVTS and run the VOBs from you rip through it. AnyDVD ripper is based older FixVTS code. FixVTS most definitely makes DVD Shrink happy because it makes the ripped Sony DVD compliant which it is not after ripping it using AnyDVD and CloneDVD. I won't even get into the reasons why and it isn't AnyDVD's fault.

Personally, I rip using AnyDVD & CloneDVD and then run the VOBs through FixVTS. I never use the AnyDVD Ripper.

HTH.
