Some new ones. Blockbuster has the exclusive rights to Harshtimes. So I am not sure if the one I have is the exact one that they will be renting. Mine is the widescreen retail version. All archived without issues. Enjoy!
harsh times i got widescreen region 1 no problem here no problem with casino royale either thanks for showing movies
I also like to know what problems, if any, to expect before I purchase a newly released DVD....
They haven't been released yet. Purplexed owns a store and gets the releases in advance of everyone else. He's doing us a great service in my opinion.
He did leave that information out this time, but in his other posts he mentions that he backed up the other titles without issue. Also by posting the Anydvd status window, I can see something changed here: http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=17103&postcount=10 Casino Royale is a Sony release, right? It makes sense that Arcoss should be detected (but I'm not positive). I hope someone can send the .ifos in to Slysoft.
As it was stated, I just share the info from each of some of the bigger titles that are releashed each week. (Simply put... the ones that I add to my personal collection. I do not buy all of the movies, but I do get some of the not so well known movies.) To be honest, I don't even understand all the things listed in the info above, but obviously others do... and they can read what I share and know what to expect. I failed to offer this information. Yes they all did work. As also stated, I usually do offer this information but for whatever reason this week I forgot to do so. Sorry. I will continue to do so. Thanks! And I hope it helps people know what to expect come release day.
Purplexed, could you do me a big favour and give me the status screen for Casino Royale with Anydvd 6.1.3.0, please? If there's no "accros" protection detected, can you do me an additional big favour and do what's in the link below please? http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=330 You see, what's weird is that CoryThury's status screen is quite a bit different than yours from 6.1.2.5, and that concerns me: http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=17103&postcount=10 Thanks in advance
I will take care of this and PM you the info sometime tomorrow. I hope this is soon enough, I am beat and need some rest! I open at the store tomorrow, but when I get home I will take the time to do the research for you! Til then... Keep on keepin' on.
Thank you. PMing me is not necessary--as I'm sure others would also enjoy looking over your findings. So feel free to post in the forums. Much appreciated thank you
Nevermind, something must be the matter with CoryThuy's reader or Anydvd settings. This is the same info purplexed gave. from http://club.cdfreaks.com/showpost.php?p=1722537&postcount=1 AnyDVD: Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 6.1.3.0) HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8163B 0S24 0BSCA04/07/28 Drive (Hardware) Region: 1 Media is a DVD. There's nothing complicated about James Bond "Casino Royale" when using AnyDVD 6.1.3.0 or even the previous version. I was able to back this title up using AnyDVD & Nero 7 Recode 2. I have also backed up "Harsh Times", "Eragon" "The Holiday" & "A Little Trip to Heaven". I had no trouble with a any of these titles.
The problem lies with doing full disc backups including full menus. And only Casino Royale would present a problem. The other titles offer nothing interesting in terms of protection. I'm not sure about Nero Recode 2.4.5.0, but I'm pretty sure 2.2.6.17b won't do a full disc backup (including full menus) of Casino Royale with Anydvd. You can get a movie only backup using Anydvd ripper. Anydvd/Clonedvd and Anydvd/Clonecd handle Region 1 Casino Royale without any issues.
I have read that Casino Royale will be released by MGM/Columbia Pictures in region 2. I will let you know what AnyDVD will say about this movie.
