DVD+-RW appears to be read only.

I have a dvd recorder and record to dvd+-rws. I then edit them on computer. I just tried many dvds I know to work fine, and tried to make a backup copy of my dvd on them. Anydvd seems to be making them read only. Any suggestions?

Yeah. Post the window of AnyDVD with a problematic DVD inserted for starters.

How are you burning them back to DVD? CloneDVD or third party? Third party software should have an option for finalize, disc-at-once, allow more to be recorded.., etc. If thats your route, check the options within that software. AnyDVD just gets it to your HDD, what you do with it after, that is up to you.

I do not exactly understand why you need to use AnyDVD to edit them.
