DVD Cannot Be Played

It's possible that one player is overly picky. If you're using +R media, you may want to try changing the booktype to "dvd-rom". Also keep in mind there are a lot of fake Taiyo Yudens out there.

these are the discs i bought:

in nero cd/dvd speed the booktype is set to dvd-rom by default and cannot be changed.i might give the '-' type discs a go to see if the daewoo will play them.in fact the daewoo will record to both '+' and '-' discs so i'll see if it will record to one of them.another point i'll mention is that the disc loads when you put it in (under the dvd menu it says 'loaded',but when you 'enter' it says the disc is empty).very strange-never mind though.

I've never used +rs from Taiyo Yuden, but with -rs this is how you tell real from fake (it might also apply to some of the +rs, but I'm not positive):
