Does anyone know where I can buy DVD-18 blanks? The double-sided-dual-layer ones? I know they're out there and I've seen them on eBay but I'm not trusting eScam or their subsidiary PayScam.
 
Unfortunately I've not come across any as yet, I know what you mean though (a double sided DVD9 (hence DVD18 ) as opposed to DVD9)) ...

I guess they're cartridge mounted - ala double sided DVD RAM - to protect both recording surfaces ..?
 
I got a single one to try/review back in November. It came in an openable cartridge and I used it as just a plain disc in my LG burner. It worked great for backing up a Hindi epic film that was mastered on DS-DL discs. CPU had an article that discussed them last year as well but the links they posted on their web site were to closed or over-priced companies. They're $6 on eBay. One company was selling them for $20 from their links. At that price I'd just buy three more originals ;)
