Dungeon Siege - Legends of Aranna profile won't work w/ CD already in drive

My profile of Dungeon Siege - Legends of Aranna works fine, but it am never able to get past the disc check when there was a CD already in the drive that I created the profile with....it always says to insert Disc 1

Of course, removing the disc before executing the profile works fine.

One more minor thing: I notice that the Windows autoplay menu for the drive always pops up when executing the profile

To be clear is it any cd in the drive, or just the game's cd?

Autoplay pops up because the profile appears to Windows as a physical cd.

correct....any CD that's in the drive
