Will Windows Media Player 11 Turn Avi Files To Wmv Files For My Creative Vision M

Thanks For All Responses

Windows Media Player doesn't do video conversion, as far as I know; only music.

However, you can try downloading the Windows Media Encoder 9 series from Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx

I belive it encodes video using Windows Media Video 7,8 or 9 formats. I'm not sure if the files it creates are compatible with the Creative Vision, though if it accepts generic WMV files I don't see why they wouldn't be.

Windows media player 11 should convert video files that it can play for sync to the Creative Zen Vision:M but you are better off doing the coversion yourself beforehand. Its hard to control the quality that media player uses for conversion and the process seems slower to me as it happens at the time of transfer.
