Hi,

each new software version update does include the DirectX. And default install setting is that it is marked to be installed. Normaly my understanding is that it is only neccessary to install it once and not for every software update?

Correct?

If it is possible in the software installer to check whether it is neccessary or not to install DirectX would be a nice feature.

Best regards,

It already does that, it's included yes but DirectX silently checks if it needs to update or not.

That's how it used to be. But there were so many problems with broken directx installations, that would detect as "installed", but still didn't work right, that they decided to force the install.
Since then, all is well.
It makes no difference, costs an additional 5 or so seconds and components will only really get (re-)installed, if broken or missing.
