I would like to understand why after deinstalling VirtualCloneDrive the following message appears in the Events Viewer

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
VClone

What could i do to prevent this attempted / failed start

regards

In device manager, delete Virtual Clone Drive under SCSI controllers.

I just noticed that I have the same problem. I had previously installed and uninstalled VirtualCloneDrive a couple months ago. Today, I happen to check the Events Viewer and notice that I get the error message that VClone failed to start on every bootup.

However, your fix does not work for me because I don't have any mention of a Virtual Clone Drive in device manager, even with show hidden devices ticked. There are no yellow exclamation marks. I don't have a "SCSI controllers" category, but I do have a "Storage controllers" category, and the only thing listed under that is Marvell RAID Controller and Microsoft iSCSI Initiator. This is on Vista32.

And yet, I still get the VClone error message in Event Viewer on bootup. Is there anything else I can do to stop this error event?
