Hasn't the time come to include that cropping feature?

It's so simple; just use -vf crop=w:h:x:y or take a look here.

Thank you for the suggestion. Crop area detection and a manual and automatic crop feature are indeed planned for the next major release. We are currently fighting some other battles related to MEncoder and a new build environment.

Cropping Update?

Any update on when Cropping will be available either in a beta or a released version?
