I get the "unable to copy protected material (CSS) When I try to copy a movie ?? Any help for a nubie??? Thanks
Are you running Anydvd in the background? If not, you need to. read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 fully (print it out if you have to)
yes I have it running in the background, when I first started the movie I left clicked on the Any DVD icon & I said found and removed several items
Well that error message usually indicates Anydvd isn't working properly on your system. Please do step 8 from http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=393 and also let me know what version of Clonedvd you're using. (actually take a look at 1,2,3 and 8 please) I need the info from Anydvd's status screen please (at least do step 8 from http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=393)

Thanks. What version of Clonedvd are you using? 1. read http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=1307 fully 2. Click this Do what it says to do. 3. Click Start, Run type regedit Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Check the values in "LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters". List everything there in your next post. Before you do this visit http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/about4719.html, and read the first post please, so you can get a better understanding of what is going on.
web, I changed the controller in the device manager & rebooted my computer. I'm kind of a computer doofus, what is the HKEY_LOCAL, all about and how do I do that?? Thanks:doh: PS I figured out the HKEY_ stuff, here's the info Lower, REG_MULTI_SZ and PxHELP20ANYDVDELBAYDELAYPfc upper, REG_MULTI_SZ and GEARAspiWDMInCDPass
Uninstall Incd from Nero until what I quoted no longer appears in your upperfilters. Incd is packet writing software and causes lots of problems with other software including Anydvd. If you want the drag and drop functionality (that you normally expect from a floppy drive), I suggest you invest in a dvd-ram burner and dvd-ram media instead. Anyway, uninstall Incd. If you need to, use the incd cleantool: http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/InCD_CleanTool.html That program should remove incd. But make sure Incdpass is no longer listed in your upperfilters after using the clean tool, please.
web, I ran CleanTool and when I rebooted, an ANYDVD warning pooped up that said my DVD wasn't recognized, upper filters are now GearAspiWDM Lower is PHXHelp20 and Lower_1 is PxHELP20ANYDVDELBAYDELAYpfc, please help, I think I'm drowning!!
That's weird. It looks like whatever you did uninstalled Anydvd's driver somehow. Exit out of all Slysoft programs and reinstall a) Keep your license key file backed up safely b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall) c) Reboot d) Download Anydvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe e) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to. f) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs g) Reinstall h) Reboot i) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732 j) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs
Oh, you might want to try uninstalling Clonedvd and reinstalling it as well, because I didn't see the Clonedvd drivers after you uninstalled Incd either. It looks like that cleaner uninstalls a lot of stuff. Hmm, I may have to avoid recommending it. I didn't realize it removed all that stuff from lowerfilters. After you reinstall Clonedvd, please list your lower and upperfilters again. Thanks.

OK, here we go, i uninstalled & installed CLONEDVD2, tried to burn the set of files I had stashed, and the same result. OH NO !!! Can't copy CSS protected. Upper, GEARAspiWDM Lower, PXHELP20ELBYDelayANYDVD Lower_1 PXHELP20ANYDVDELbyDelaypfc
Please use an original commercial disc and attempt to load that disc in Clonedvd with Anydvd running on your toolbar. "stashed" files on your hard drive are not o.k. Follow these steps please: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 If you get an error message, let me know what the full error message says and at what step you encountered the error message. Please use an original commercial dvd movie disc to test.
10-4, I meant to say that the set of stashed files were ones that I originally used with ANYDVD and CLONEDVD2. I just started a fresh movie in the system, mine's a little slow it will take a while to decode them.
I hope you aren't using "rip video dvd to harddisk" in Anydvd. Never use this feature if you own Clonedvd2. You don't rip first at all. You just import the disc directly into Clonedvd2. Don't rip to your harddrive!!!
Looks like more trouble, when I put the disk in and click on CLONEDVD nothing happens, looks like that CleanTool must have done something else???
Your filters look fine now. Wait . . . You can't run Clonedvd2 at all? How are you getting CSS error messages then? If Clonedvd2 isn't running at all, how are you getting that error message? Run Clonedvd (start-->all programs-->Elaborate Bytes--->Clonedvd2--Clonedvd2) Follow these steps please: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 If you get an error message, let me know what the full error message says and at what step you encountered the error message. Please use an original commercial dvd movie disc to test.
