Does clonedvd have any provision to convert a dvd to an mp4, or another format? I see that clonebd does, but clonedvd does not specify so.
 
No, CloneDVD only outputs to DVD structure. You need to look 1 floor down. CloneDVD Mobile exists exactly for that purpose. It's only with CloneBD that the 2 got combined into 1 product (and more) for the blu-ray format.
