Converting a Divx file

Is there a way to reconvert a Divx file that has already been created? I generally capture a DVD in the Divx format in high quality. Can i then convert that file into a lower format for a different device? or do I have to go back to the original DVD for regeneration?

With Clonedvd mobile, I think you need to go back to the original source.
