I have a Dell Inspiron 1505
Windows Vista Home Prim.
TSST-L632D DVD RW+-

whenever I tried to insert my blank DVD nothing is happening and I can't get my Blank DVD till I reboot my Laptop ..

I'm using fujifilm DVD-R which I never had any problem before ..

Doesn anyone knows what might be the problem and how to fix it ...

I used to backup my DVDs with the same laptop but with windows XP

now after I upgraded I started having this problem ..

your help is really appreciated .. thanks ..

I don't know exactly what your problem is as i don't run Vista, but i can give you a temporary solution. Instead of selecting output method as DVD Writer, select DVD Files. This will place all the DVD files in a folder you specify on your computer. When your backup is complete, just burn the files in that folder with another burning program. Hope this works for you!

1. Visit your burner's website, and update your burner's firmware if possible.
If you don't know how to go about doing this, visit http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=12794&postcount=10

2. Use good quality blank media (and Fuji isn't good blank media especially if it's not made in Japan). Try Verbatim, Maxell Broadcast Quality, Maxell Plus series, Taiyo Yuden, etc. If you're going to make a double layer backup use Verbatim + R DL media (made in Singapore); I find
most burners will burn this stuff well at 4x (to be safe); other burners can burn this stuff at 10x with
no problems. Get to know your burner.

3. Exit out of all Slysoft programs and reinstall

a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Clonedvd (start-->all programs-->Elaborate Bytes--->Clonedvd2-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
e) Download Clonedvd http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupCloneDVD2904.exe
f) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
g) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
h) Reinstall
i) Reboot
j) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
k) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs
l) Ensure you're using the latest version of Anydvd (6.1.4.3) as of this post. http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe

4. Click this

Do what it says to do.

5. visit http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=21907&postcount=11 (thanks to Zebadee)
Use one of the programs mentioned, and list your Lowerfilters and Upperfilters in your next post.

Or for XP users only,
Click Start, Run
type regedit
Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

We want what's listed in "LowerFilters" and "UpperFilters". List your Lowerfilters and Upperfilters in your next post.

Before you do this visit http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/about4719.html, and read the first post please, so you can get a better understanding of what is going on.
Do not start randomly deleting filters. Post and ask first.

6. If Anydvd/Clonedvd2 is locking up at this point, then read http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=24297&postcount=4
