Can CloneCD detect CD/DVD based on the blank support inserted and not by image file?
Why CloneCD detect CD iso images as DVD?

Probably because the original .iso came from a dvd (size is probably larger than a cd as well).

I have made the image of a CD, so I'm 999% sure that is is a CD.

I'm not sure I understand why you believe Clonecd is detecting the .iso as a dvd image file then.

Instead of ask if it is a multimedia cd, data cd, audio cd, etc. it show only DVD.

You must have a blank dvd inserted in your burner.

is the .iso larger than 700mb?

i know alot of times with alcohol 120 the cd images are around 730mb but they still burn to a cd fine.

perhaps clonecd automatically decides it must be a dvd if the .iso is bigger than 700mb
