Clone drive not visible

Been using CloneDrive for years with no problem
Suddenly the virtual drive won't show up
Uninstalled and re installed as admin
Still not showing up
Any ideas

Is the driver running (no warning sign)? Check in Windows device manafer.
Is it enabled (at least one drive)? Check VCD preferences.
Does it have a drive letter assigned? Check in Windows storage manager.

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Please try to uninstall VCD and reboot. Now install it again.
Which OS version is this?

EDIT: Or even better, delete the device from device manager. When asked, if you want to delete the driver for this device, answer yes.

OS Win10
Tried deleting, removing from device manager, rebooting, re installing
Still cannot get a virtual drive
Does CloneDrive rely on vds.exe (Virtual Disk) service?

Seems that my usb optical drive has suffered the same fate

Problem solved
Finally tried simple approach
Went to devices and printers and let the troubleshooter fix the corrupted drivers.
Everything appears to be back to normal
