hallo,

There seems to be an issue in your case connecting to the OPD but that's a different matter. If you say the packaging mentions region A and AnyDVD thinks it's region free then the fix is simple.

1. Go into AnyDVD's blu-ray settings
2. Section Blu-ray disc region
2a. Tick the box "Enable Blu-ray region code"
2b. Select "Always Ask"
3. Insert the problematic ORIGINAL disc!
4. When AnyDVD asks for a region, SELECT REGION A!!!
5. Click ok and let anydvd do its magic.

The rip should now play just fine

You MUST specify the region of the DISC (mentioned on the packaging or where you got it from) and NOT your own region. Specifying the wrong region (or region free like anydvd did in this case) WILL render the rip unusable.

You would be the first user, where that would NOT work. You have to remember to NOT tell the player to resume. After you've set region A, you have to tell the player to restart playback FROM THE BEGINNING! If it still doesn't work, provide a new logfile to see if region removal was succesful
