Is there an easy way to look at the outputted DVD and see if the media was copied straight or if it was transcoded (re-encoded and compressed)?
 
The only way to tell for sure (that I can see):

1) Look at the quality bar on the Title Configuration screen of CloneDVD2. If it's less the 100%, the transcoder will be used.

2) If you copied to a DVD+/- DL, the transcoder would be disabled.
