when I look at thread status I have a locked lock on it what does that mean
 
Beta threads are not open to replies. They are simply informational topics that a new version is available. In the past they were open but people started using them as troubleshooting threads instead of creating there own topic. Thus the decision was made to no longer let the beta/release topics open to replies. The links posted in them work fine.
